Anti Bullying Week – All Different All Equal

We read the story “Elmer the Elephant” and explored how being different can make you feel. We decorated our own elephant to remind us that we are all unique just like Elmer!

We loved listening to the story “It’s okay to be different” by Todd Parr. You can watch it on here

The book has a very special message. “It’s okay to be different. You are special and important just because of being who you are!”

We also explored friendships, in particular what good friends do and how we can be a good friend to others! We made a friendship chain to display in our classroom and even learnt a special rhyme.

“Friends care, friends share,

we need friends everywhere!”
