Blog from Miss Baines
Hello Year 1,
I hope you are all well and are behaving for your grown-ups.
Mrs Tillotson and myself are both missing you all and we can't wait to see your smiling faces.
There are some new activities for this week on our Home Learning part of the school website. Please complete these as best you can, to the standard we do in school. I look forward to seeing what you have done when we return to school.
If you want to, and are able to, you can always email some of your work to me. You can always email anything you would like to tell me about while you are learning at home. Remember to ask your grown-ups permission. Our class email address is year1@st-michaelangels.lancs.sch.uk
Mrs Coffey has been very busy setting up our ‘Class Blog’ so that we can all keep in touch more easily during the school closure. We would love to know what you have been up to so feel free to post a comment on our blog – make sure you ask permission from a grown up first. You can also post any questions you have on the blog too. Mrs Coffey is in the process of setting it up so that we can upload pictures.
Remember to log onto Numbots as much as you can to practise your Maths skills, I am keeping an eye on who has or has not been online yet! I can now make certificates for anyone who finishes Iron level onwards, so if you complete Iron level I will try to email you a certificate if I can. I can also award certificates for most accurate in class and most improvement in class so keep trying your best!
Keep reading as much as possible. Ask your adult to go onto the Oxford Owl website (link on the school website home learning section). There are some free ebooks available to read online and I may set some activities about these books. It is free to make a log in to access these ebooks.
Don't forget to go onto Phonics Play and play some of our games from class, such as Ob and Bob and Buried Treasure!
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Keep safe!
