Book Week
Throughout the week, we loved reading the traditional tale “Jack and the Beanstalk.” We had lots of fun acting out parts the story and especially enjoyed pretending to be the giant. We even scared Mrs Pennington with our loud, booming voices!! We created our own giants and thought of adjectives such as enormous, mean and ugly to describe them.
On World Book day we read a story called “Jasper’s Beanstalk.” We created our own beanstalk in the creative area and used different construction materials to build them too. Each colour team also planted a bean just like Jasper. We will have to wait a while to see which team grows the tallest beanstalk.
We also enjoyed spending time in the library choosing a book to take home and talking about our book character costumes and favourite stories.
Finally, a big thank you to all the parents and carers for supporting World Book day and sending your children into school wearing such fantastic costumes!
