The mysterious door

Year 2 were very excited when the mysterious door appeared on the playground. We had lots of ideas about where it had come from and what might be behind it. 

The children wrote to the fairies to find out why they had come to our school. The next day the fairies had written back to ask for our help which Year 2 kindly agreed to.

We went on a hunt outside to look for clues for the mean dragons that had stolen the fairies precious gems. Hidden away the children found a dragon egg. The children then planned how the fairies could trap a dragon and then do a deal to exchange the egg for the gems. Luckily everything worked out well and the fairies got their gems back and even gave Year 2 some to say thank you!
