Hello year 1!

I hope everyone is doing well.

Thank you for all the lovely emails about your learning and activities at home. I have had videos, pictures and examples of work. Sebastian has done some wonderful handwriting this week and Arnie has really improved with his writing. Tait has built a bug hotel and has done some wonderful counting with coins. Phoebe has sent me a picture of her bean plant and it is super! She has carried on taking care of it since taking it home. Have a look at our pictures on our blogs to see what everyone has been up to.

Keep it up with Numbots, I can see that you are trying hard all the time with it.

This week you have 2 stories to look at for you English work; The Ugly Five by Julia Donaldson and Rumble in the Jungle by Giles Andreae. These books involve animals and you will be thinking about animals for all your work.

Maths is all about Statistics this week. You will be practising your sorting of shapes and numbers, and also be looking at block diagrams. We have looked at them in class and counted the blocks in each tower.

There are no activities for Friday as this is the start of half term, so there will not be any activities next week. Have a fun half term next week, you can still email me pictures or anything else.
