Hello Year 3

Good morning Year 3. Hope you all have had a lovely weekend and are keeping safe.

I have put some new work for you to complete on the Home Learning page for Year 3 - I hope you manage to complete some of these and I look forward to seeing what you have done when we get back to school. If you are finding these tricky, don't worry! You could try the Home Learning from the previous year groups. All the work in English this week is based around ‘crocodiles’. You can email photographs to our class email and I can post them on the website.  I hope you enjoy it. In Maths we are looking at measurement with a focus on perimeter. The grammar focus this week is using simple past and present perfect tense.

I would still love to hear from you all and see what you have been up to. Isabelle has shared some pictures of how she celebrated VE Day. I have put them on our blog. If you did something special, please share your stories and pictures with me – I would love to see them. Thank you to all those children who have already been in touch – it has been lovely to hear from you and see what you have been up to. Aaron made a fantastic kite as part of the English work last week. He sent me some pictures of him flying it. I have put them on our blog. I love receiving your emails and pictures. If your grown-ups allow it, please leave me your comments and any questions you may have on our blog. You could also send me an email letting me know what you have been up to – I would love to hear from you. Ask a grown up to photograph some of your work and attach the pictures into an email. year3@st-michaelangels.lancs.sch.uk  Thank you to all the children who have already sent me pictures. Please remember about Times Table Rockstars. You can go on Times Tables Rock Stars this week, between 10:00-10:30 each day. Go on ‘arena’ during these times and you can play against your class mates. I have challenged you all - my rock star name is Ace Lily. Why don’t you send me a challenge?
