Good morning Year 3. Hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend.

Well we have made it to the final week of Year 3. It has been a very strange year. Never did any of us imagine that we would we ending the year learning from home and via Zoom! You have all done an amazing job and I am so proud of you all.

I have put the final week of work for you to complete on the Home Learning page for Year 3. If you are finding these tricky, don't worry! You could try the Home Learning from the previous year groups. All the work in English this week is based around ‘Fun with film!’. You can email photographs of any of your work to our class email and I can post them on the website.  I hope you enjoy it.

It has been great to see so many of you joining our Zoom lessons and we will be continuing our maths lessons this week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Hopefully, we will have a few new faces on Zoom this week. It has been so lovely to see so many of your faces during the Zoom sessions and I can see how hard you are working so well done to you all.

I want to end the blog by saying it has been an absolute pleasure to teach you all this year and I will miss you when you move on to Year Four. I would like to wish you all lots of luck and I can`t wait to see you all on your return to school in September.

If your grown-ups allow it, please leave me your comments and any questions you may have on our blog. You could also send me an email letting me know what you have been up to – I would love to hear from you. Ask a grown up to photograph some of your work and attach the pictures into an email. year3@st-michaelangels.lancs.sch.uk  

Please remember about Times Table Rockstars. As a school we have managed to stay at 2nd place on the leaderboard for Local schools. This is a huge achievement. Well done to all of you! You can go on Times Tables Rock Stars this week, between 11:00-11:30 each day. Go on ‘arena’ during these times and you can play against your class mates. I can see some big improvements in the speed and accuracy in which you are answering questions which is fantastic. My rock star name is Ace Lily if you would like to send me another challenge.

Hopefully, I will see some of you when you come to school to pick up your books on Tuesday.
