Good morning Year 5. Well here we are – the last week in Year 5. Never in a million years did any of us know that when we said goodbye to you in March that it was going to be the start of home and virtual learning! You have all done so well. We are looking forward to seeing you when you collect your books and school report on Thursday. For our final class blog before we break for the summer holidays, we have written you a special poem.

A Special Poem for Year 5

The end of Year 5 has quickly come,

And we have had so much fun!

This year has not been quite the same,

For which the Coronavirus has been to blame!

We think you are truly amazing,

To have completed all the ‘Home Learning’.

We just wanted you to know,

How wonderful it has been to see you grow.

Zoom sessions have been the highlight of the week,

Keeping our brains at their mathematical peak!

What a year it has been,

Waving at each other through the screen!

This leaves just one last thing to say.

We wish you a lovely summer holiday,

Stay safe whether you are at home or away.

And make sure you smile every day!
