Hello Year 1!

I hope you all had a lovely time with your families over the Easter break. Mrs Tillotson and myself are really missing seeing your smiling faces during the week.

I have enjoyed reading the emails some of you have sent. Please remember to email me any questions or if you would like to share what fun activities you have been doing at home. Our class email is year1@st-michaelangels.lancs.sch.uk .

I am looking at Numbots everyday and some children have now finished Iron level. If you have, I have some certificates ready for you. I can email them to you but only if you send an email to our class email address. I have sent out 2 Numbots certificates already. Keep going with your Numbots, it can be tricky but keep going and you will get there.

This week in English, you will be using the Hairy Maclary books. These books are lots of fun, with different breeds of dogs in them. Your Maths activities this week are about  addition and subtraction. I have put some part-part-whole diagrams in for you to use.

Please send me an email to let me know how you are doing and tell me about the fun things you have been doing at home. I have some special certificates ready to send to children if they email me with any learning they have done at home. Some children have had some Growth Mindset certificates for trying new things or for persevering with Numbots.
