Hello Year 5,

We hope you are all well and keeping safe. We also hope that the home learning is going ok and that you are behaving for your parents.

Well done to those children who created their own ‘deadly creatures’ in English last week. I hope the fractions work went ok. This week the English work is based on ‘Danny Champion of the World’ and our Maths focus is ‘time’. This is an ideal opportunity for you to learn to tell the time. Throughout the day, read the time on various clocks around your home. Telling the time is a life skill so later on in the week you will be completing tasks on interpreting bus timetables.

It would be great, if as many of us as possible could log onto ‘Arena’ on Times Tables Rock Stars between 1:00 and 1:30pm each day to play against each other as I know some of you have said that you would like the chance to play against your mates. There are going to be some TTRS awards each week so let’s get TT Rocking! I have also challenged you all to beat my score! I have to say I am rather rusty!
