Mere Tun

Year 5 Visit to ‘Mere-Tun’ Anglo-Saxon Village

On Tuesday 17th October, Year 5 stepped back in time to the Anglo-Saxon period.

They had a fabulous trip to the ‘Mere-Tun’ Anglo-Saxon village at Martin Mere.

Over the course of the day they learned to thatch, weave, forage and also received lessons in weapons training. They ate authentic packed lunches and dressed in costume from Anglo-Saxon times.
