Remembrance Poppy

Last Friday morning we had a special service of Remembrance to commemorate the brave men and women who gave their lives in battle. Poppies were used as a way to remember soldiers who died because of how the flowers grew on the battlefields of World War 1.

Reception class children made a large poppy to display on the Worship table and everyone gathered in the hall to mark this special day with a two minute silence to remember the people who have died in war.
