Roman Day 2018
Year 3 had a fantastic ‘Roman Day’. All the children (and grown-ups!) came dressed in their Roman costumes and started the day by sharing the shields, mosaics and models they had made as part of their learning logs. Throughout the day the children enjoyed participating in a range of activities which included making a Roman coin, making Roman honey cakes, designing and making symmetrical tile mosaic patterns, making Roman torches, wreaths and bracelets, researching what Roman soldiers wore, examining Roman artefacts and problem solving using Roman Numerals.
The children had a fantastic day and have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Romans. Thank you to all the parents for supporting your children with costumes and learning logs.
All the work the children have completed will be on display in the entrance hall from Monday 11th June. Please take the time to come and have a look at the fantastic things the children have made.
