Waddow Hall

Year 6 recently experienced an amazing three days’ residential visit to Waddow Hall in the heart of the Bowland Forest. We were very lucky to have exceptionally good weather enabling us to complete a wide range of outdoor adventurous activities including; archery, tree climbing, kayaking, zip wire, night line, shelter building and a walk along the bank of the River Ribble where we also had a picnic. Our accommodation block was fantastic, with comfortable beds and our own private grounds to play in during free-time. Everyone helped serve and clear up after our meals – which were delicious! A particular favourite memory was sitting around the camp fire, inventing silly songs and playing lots of games. The whole adventure helped us gain greater confidence, working both independently and as a team. We would all love to go again – an experience we will never forget!
