World Book Day
During World book Day Year 3 completed lots of activities linked to the book ‘The Tunnel’ by Anthony Browne. They started the day by looking at an illustration from the book and used this to gather ideas about what they though the book would be about. Before reading the story they had to use their imagination and think about what might be at the other end of the tunnel. The children came up with some fantastic ideas. They also completed a conscience alley activity where the children had to act as the ‘conscience’ of the character ‘Rose’. Eva played the role of Rose and the other children had to be her conscience and decide whether or not she should follow Jack into the tunnel.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thank you to all the parents for sending your children into school in great costumes. They all looked fantastic!
